Big Idea Murals is just that. We provide large mural, and banner concepts with distinctively bright and whimsical artistic applications that inspire the imagination and combine curricular elements for home, school, or business settings. Whether the goal is to create a warm and friendly environment, enhance educational readiness, reinforce reading skills, promote good eating habits, or strengthen school spirit, we are well-versed in carrying out any of these themes with beautiful colors and larger-than-life graphics.

Our Background
Big Idea Murals has built a wonderful reputation among homeowners, school campuses and businesses throughout Southern California over the past 20 years, with nearly 200 completed murals commissioned at numerous LAUSD sites. We have had successful, long-term partnerships with LAUSD’s Nutrition Network and LAUP. In addition, our artists have completed large commissions for the Walt Disney Co., The Zimmer Children's Museum, and many private collectors.

Our philosophy is simple: Bring original fine art to homes, school campuses, and businesses, with beautiful hand-painted murals that are graphic, whimsical and eye-catching. We believe that a visually stimulating mural, rich with meaning and purpose, can improve people's daily life, campus life, and the “curb appeal” of any site.

Our Methods
Our trademark hands-on style means that we make things easy for decision makers and work as cleanly, and independently as possible.The process of making a mural happen is simple: First we set up a short meeting where we determine your goals and objectives, along with the creative direction that will be a good fit. There will be a chance to get a close look at our portfolio at this time. We will establish the best wall available for your needs, and discuss size and budget. A short time thereafter we will present you with our best ideas that you can choose from. Once everyone has approved the design, we schedule our workdays for as little disruption to your schedule as possible. We will stay out of your way and coordinate work times until the project is completed.
